China Elevator Association was founded in 1984 under the auspices of the China Association of building mechanization. With the rapid development of China´s elevator industry and the growing of the Association, the Ministry of Civil Affairs examined the registration and formally established the China Elevator Association in 1991 with approval from the Ministry of Construction. At the end of 2002, there were about 400 members of the China Elevator Association, of which more than one third of the members were elevatormanufacturer, about one third of the members wereaccessoriesmanufacturer and nearly one third of the members were installed and maintained.In addition,more than 10 members were scientific research institutes, colleges and universities. The China Elevator Association is a non-profit Social Group formed on a voluntary basis by the national elevator industry through the manufacture, installation, maintenance, operation, design, research and teaching of lifts (including escalators and Moving walkway) . Aim of Association: to observe the Constitution, laws, regulations and state policies and to abide by the social morality.
