Energy Partners (CEO Lee Chan-hee), a company specializing in energy solutions, has developed a regenerative braking device for elevators that can convert regenerative power generated from elevators, a type of renewable energy, into commercial power. EP-Gen is recognized for its excellence in fields such as power generation efficiency, safety, and versatility by many authorized institutions, including KEPCO. The EP-Gen, the main product of Energy Partners, is a type of self-generation inverter that converts direct current discarded during elevator operation into commercial power. Resulting in a greater energy saving effect, and the amount of electricity saved depending on the environment and conditions was confirmed to be 15-60%. According to Energy Partners´ analysis of annual energy savings after installing EP-Gen in 56 elevators of a high-rise apartment in Jamsil, the total regenerative power per elevator was 175,656kWh, generating 3,137kWh of power per elevator, saving about 30% of the annual power use through regenerative power generation.
Another flagship product of Energy Partners, EP-Hybrid UPS installed the elevator automatic rescue device as a basic function, and In case of power failure, it connects the reserve power within 4 milliseconds and it is possible to operate the elevator continuously for more than 2 hours. And, it is a hybrid uninterruptible power supply that can be charged with regenerative power and photovoltaic power generation and is equipped with earthquake detection and response functions and remote management functions of equipment, and stably supplies uninterruptible power to skyscrapers and high-quality residential complexes.
